Symptom
- ASE reports a Signal 8 (SIGFPE) or Signal 11 (SIGSEGV) error in the module proc_setdb(), for example:
Current process (0x281f0247) infected with signal 8 (SIGFPE)
Address 0x000000000153e132 (proc_setdb+0x192), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x000000000153e132)
- It may affect one or a few spids or it can show many further signal 8 / 11 messages.
- User defined tempdb(s) exist.
- The signal message is followed by a stack trace which includes modules:
proc_get
s_getTreeOrPlan
or
proc_get
rvm__check_owner_implicit_grant
rvm__check_grant_revoke_access
rvm_dispatch
rvm_process_dispatch
Note: An example of a complete stack trace is available under Attachments.
