2593687 - Using Enum type for weight in goal plan

Symptom

As from Q3 2017, it is possible to use the field type "enum" for weight in the Goal Plan.

However, if you are using a rule for minimum and maximum weight, eighter by objective or category, the weight from an "enum" type field will not be validated and no warning message will be dispayed if the limits are exceeded.

Environment

SuccessFactors Performance and Goals Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Configured the type of the Weight field in the Goal Plan as "enum";
  2. Configured rules for Minimum and Maximum Weight for Category or Objective;
  3. The system is not showing any warning message if the weight limits are exceeded.

Cause

Our Engineering team has identified this as a system defect and is working to correct this scenario and the "enum" type field has the same validadion as the "percentage" type field when rules are set for minimum and maximum weights. [TGM-8904]

Resolution

In the moment, the workaround is to continue using "percentage" for the weight type field in order to validade the weight for the minimum and maximum rules.
