2594161 - Template Format Not Considered for Workflow E-mail

Symptom

The workflow is sending the e-mail correctly with the correct template, however, the format is different in the e-mails view in Activities work center.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Administrator work center.
  2. Click on the Workflow Rules.
  3. Click New.
  4. Select Business Object XYZ (XYZ represents the Business Object you want to have the workflow rule configured).
  5. Go to the Define Actions.
  6. Select Rule Type "E-mail".
  7. In the field Template File, attach your HTML Template which contains line breaker.
  8. Save.
  9. Trigger the Workflow to send the e-mail.
  10. Go to the Activities work center.
  11. Click on the E-mails view.
  12. Open the e-mail triggered by the workflow rule.
  13. There is no paragraph or line breaker as your template.

Resolution

This is the current system behavior. HTML and rich text are not supported in this view.
