Symptom
The default calendar dates defined in the Goal Plan and Performance Form are not being respected for the Date fields configured in the Goal Plan.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Goal Management
Reproducing the Issue
- In Manage Templates, select the Goal Plan Template.
- Under General Settings, set the Start Date to the date range that meets your requirements.
Example - set the Start Date and End Date of the template with the date range 01/01/2018 - 12/31/2018: - In the Goal Plan OR the Goal Section of the Performance Form, select to Add or Edit a Goal.
- In the Date fields "Start Date" and "Due Date", the calendar defaults to a different date range i.e. 01/01/2017 - 12/31/2017:
Cause
The Start Date and End Date defined under General Settings of the Goal Plan Template does not control the date range of the date type fields defined in the Goal Plan.
Resolution
In Manage Templates, you may add fields that are the type "date":
Additionally you may also define a "<default-value>" for this field type in your Goal Plan XML Template:
The <default-value> has been set with the default calendar dates within the 01/01/2017 - 12/31/2017 date range.
Therefore, if you add or edit a goal, the Date type fields will display the default calendar dates.
The Start and End Dates configured under the Goal Plan Template's General Settings, do not control the default values defined for individual date fields.
