Symptom

The SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) errorlog shows a stacktrace ("infected with signal 11") that includes the modules:

  • ibm_try_lock (or text.fdpr.chunk.4)
  • usrcancel
  • noob_socket_handler
  • kadodeferred.fdpr.chunk.4
  • kt__MuxMain
  • ktMuxThreadMain
  • thread_create_handler

ASE is running on the IBM / AIX platform.
