2594644 - b1805 EC Time - Rule Function to sum up Balance Based on Posting Type

The following rule function would be helpful for all kind of rules in Time Off (PEP, Interim, Accrual)

Rule Function: Get Balance For Posting Types In Period
Input Parameter: Time Account, Start Date, End Date, List of Posting Types
Return: The sum of the posting types in this period on the given time account.
In case there is no posting, the rule function should return 0.

This is being developed and targetted for the b1805 release.

Employee Central, Time Off

Scenario 1: Period-End Processing

• Monthly accruals
• Period End Processing should only transfer the *accrual *balance which has not been used, but maximum half of them. E.g. 2 days monthly accrual = 24 days in a year. 10 days are taken, 14 days are left, only 12 should be transferred during PEP. This is not yet possible cause the customer has no possibility to get the accrual balance for the year.

Scenario 2: Accrual

• Monthly accruals
• sum of the year should be e.g. 23 days, but they have monthly accruals
• the 12. accrual needs to know what has been posted already to post the correct difference.

Scenario 3: Period End Processing recalc

• Customer run the Period End Processing already
• For different reasons, they have to run it again.
• Currently they have to remove the Period-End Processing postings and run the period_end processing again to get the new posting
• with this rule function, they do not have manual effort, cause they can get the current value, which is already posted from the rule function and post only the difference.
