2594907 - Job Postings Are Mixed for Brands in Google - Recruiting Marketing

Symptom

Some customers have observed Google is scraping their Career Site and mixing the brands. In this case, when a candidate searches for a jobs he/she can see in the results job postings mixed for brands.

Reproducing the Issue

Steps to reproduce the search for jobs at specific brand with Google:

  1. Search in the Google for: "jobs at specific brand"
  2. Posting are mixed for brands.

Some jobs can appear as jobs from other brands. For example:

Product Engineer position opened for brand A can appear in the search results as "Product Engineer - A - Jobs in B".

Resolution

The sitemap published for sites to Google and other search engines doesn't include brand by design. All job urls in the sitemap utilize the default "brand".
