Symptom

  • ST22 System dumps DBSQL_SQL_ERROR are generated for SQL error 632 when accessing a specific table.
  • ASE errorlog reports this error:

Error: 632, Severity: 20, State: 2
Attempt to move memory with an incorrect length of -4101. Maximum allowed length is 16384.

  • "dbcc checktable(<table_name>)" might return Error 9829:

Msg 9829, Level 22, State 4:
Server 'SID', Line 1:
Compressed data row 0x2d7b7227c in objid 1003147588, dbid 4 is corrupted.
