Cause
This error is caused by the permissions for the application fields. One or more application field permissions in the xml template were written incorrectly.
Resolution
First of all, check if you have Multistage Application Enabled. If you do, the problem is in the Job Requisition Template for the requisition where the error occurs, if you are not, the problem is in the Job Requisition Application Template.
If Multi-Stage Application is Enabled:
Go to the Job Requisition Template, and find the application-field permissions, and check for the role-name tag. The role should be written as below:
<role-name><![CDATA[ROLE]]></role-name>
Also, check if the ROLE is the correct one.
Some examples of problems seen previously causing this error to occur:
Missing bracket: <role-name><![CDATA[ROLE]></role-name>
Extra bracket: <role-name><![CDATA[ROLE]]]></role-name>
Role does not exist: <role-name><![CDATA[G+]]></role-name>
