2595830 - How To Stop An Ongoing Enrolled Benefit

Symptom

How can a benefit enrollment be stopped as of an effective date?

Environment

  • SAP Successfactors Employee Central
  • Global Benefits

Reproducing the Issue

Suppose an employee has enrolled for a benefit of type 'Allowance' from 1st Jan 2017. The admin wants to stop this benefit after 6 months i.e as of 1st June 2017.

Resolution

We can use Benefits Enrollment job for certain termination scenarios by following the below steps:

  1. Benefits must be of type: Allowance/Insurances/Pension and the Enrollment Type as “Automatic”.
  2. The job currently runs only as of system date, hence if you want to delimit enrollments for a particular insurance as of the termination date, then the job must be set up as a “Daily” recurring. With this setting, when EE’s (employees) are terminated, the job would get triggered > find them ineligible and terminate the relevant records. In case it is needed that the enrollment records must be terminated on the last day of the month the employee is terminated, then the job must be scheduled accordingly.

NOTE: Benefits are not delimited by the auto-enrollment job when an employee is transferred across legal entities.
