Symptom
-
When using SSO, the default login method should update to SSO when a candidate moves from SuccessFactors Onboarding 1.0 to Employee Central
-
When Pre-day1 is enabled, system login method defaulted as PWD
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 1.0
Reproducing the Issue
Cause
- Temporary user cannot login via SSO, partial SSO need to be enabled and loginMethod PWD is used for all users
- When using partial organization SSO, there is no way to update automatically loginMethod from PWD to SSO, but this has to be updated manually
Resolution
For Live Customer(s), Implementation Partner(s), and Consultant(s)
The system and designed behavior is when a customer is using SSO, the default login method of new hires is PWD. As workaround, System Administrators should update the login method for each new hire.
For a permanent resolution an enhancement request is submitted to SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 1.0 Product Management team. There is no specific date when this will be added to the system. Kindly check the product roadmap for the latest information.
Important Note: The Login Method (loginMethod) field should not be updated via HRIS sync by maintaining HRIS mappings in the data model. Doing so can cause Pre-Day1 user login methods to be set to SSO, thereby preventing from being able to login to SuccessFactors.
