2596470 - How to Activate SOLAR Projects after Content Activation (from SAP Solution Manager 7.1 to 7.2) has been completed

The upgrade from SAP Solution Manager 7.1 to 7.2 is often accompanied by Content Activation which is a one-off process transforming 7.1 SAP Solution Manager infrastructure into its 7.2 counterpart.

Specifically, 7.1 solution documentation content (projects and solutions) needs to be brought into the process management environment of SAP Solution Manager 7.2. During preparation for activation in SAP Solution Manager 7.1 you must select a scope of projects and solutions whose content will be activated and thus made available in the 7.2 process management application after upgrade. Changing the activation scope, i.e. adding projects or solutions is not possible after the content activation process has been completed in SAP Solution Manager 7.2.

Although you should strive to work within the one-time capabilities of the content activation process, there may be circumstances in which you may wish to activate a few more 7.1 projects (and solutions) retrospectively, after formal completion of content activation.

You are working in SAP Solution Manager 7.2 after upgrade from SAP Solution Manager 7.1 and you have noticed that some of the contents in 7.1 projects did not make it into SAP Solution Manager 7.2.
