Symptom

  • Running query on MDA tables failed with following errors:
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    Msg 4002, Level 14, State 1:
    Server 'loopback', Line 1:
    Login failed.
    select * from <mon_tables>
    Msg 11206, Level 16, State 1:
    Server '<Server_Name>', Line 1:
    Unable to connect to server '<Server_Name>'.

  • This problem happened only on ASE12.5.4 and earlier versions.
