2597146 - BP integration: Changing the SAP User ID of an employee in an Employee to Business Partner synchronization scenario

Symptom

An incorrect SAP User ID has been assigned to an Employee in Infotype 0105, subtype 0001. This may occur in several scenarios, such as:

  • A typing error during entry.
  • Assignment to the wrong Employee.
  • A change that requires the SAP User ID to be updated — for example, when the User ID is derived from the employee’s surname or current employee number, and either the name or the main contract changes.

Key Limitation

The SAP User ID cannot simply be overwritten in Infotype 0105, subtype 0001. Additional steps are required to ensure data consistency.
