2597475 - Dump while runing a Report based on uploaded Data Source.

Symptom

You have uploaded a data source. Later you run a report based on this data source, and you receive a dump.

Environment

  • SAP Business ByDesign
  • SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Business Analytics Work Center.
  2. Go to the Design Reports view.
  3. Run a report based on the data source that was recently uploaded.

You receive a dump.

Cause

The upload of data source failed. The upload functionality works by first deleting all the objects in the target tenant, if they exist beforehand in the system, and then creating the objects.

If the upload failed for different reasons, all reports based on this data source will open with a dump.

Resolution

Download the deleted data source from the source tenant and upload it into the target tenant so that the report which is now failing shall start working again.
