2598602 - Rule Based on Event / Event Reason

Symptom

In an attempt to create a rule based on Event / Event-Reason, unable to find the Event-Reason field in the Rule Design.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Attempt to create a new rule based on Event / Event-Reason.
  2. The Event-Reason field is not listed in the rule.

Cause

The Event-Reason field is disabled in Manage Business Configuration > jobInfo.

Resolution

Enable the Event-Reason field in Manage Business Configuration > jobInfo.

Alternatively add the Event-Reason field via XML.
