2598716 - Bookable To Date of Recurring Time Account Incorrect in Time Account Balances

You have set up a recurring time account and assigned the same to an employee. Once checking the time account balances, you notice that the "Bookable To" date is set as December 31st of the year when the account bookable period ends.

For example, you have set an account with recurrence as "Calendar Year", "Bookable From" as "End of Month", and "Bookable To" as "2 Years Later". You have assigned this account to an employee on April 2023, so you expect the account to be bookable until April of 2025.

However when checking the dates in the employee Time Account Balances, you notice that the "Bookable To" date of the account is December 31st of 2025.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Time Administration work center.
2. Enter the Employees View.
3. Search for the Employee ID and select it.
4. Click on the Edit button.
5. Go to the Time Profile tab.
6. Select the currently valid time profile.
7. In the panel below, navigate to the Time Account Rules sub-tab.
8. Click on the Add Button.
9. Select the configured time account.
10. Click on Save.
11. Now navigate to the Time Account Balances tab.

Here you can see the newly added time account. You can see that the "Bookable To" date is set as December 31st of the respective year of the final bookable year of the time account.

For accounts with recurrence as Calendar Year, the balance calculation happens annually. So accounts which have a bookable period ending during the year will be automatically set to be bookable until December 31st.

The system works as expected.

You can change the "Bookable To" date of the time account manually by following the below steps:

1. Go to the Time Administration work center.
2. Enter the Employees View.
3. Search for the Employee ID and select it.
4. Click on the Edit button.
5. Navigate to the Time Account Balances tab.
6. Select the account entry with the incorrect dates.
7. Under the Details panel below, enter the Basic Data sub-tab.

Here, the second "Undefined Label" represents the bookable period. Change the dates to the required ones and save.
