2598749 - Applications page is not loading in SMP cockpit, java.lang.NullPointerException, a null object loaded from local variable 'hostURL'

• When opening "Applications" page in SMP cockpit to see the list of apps, the page doesn't load and therefore the apps list is not visible, and the error "Internal server error" appears
  AND
• In server logs the following line appears: "ServletException:::Root cause::: java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method java.lang.String.endsWith(java.lang.String) of a null object loaded from local variable 'hostURL'"
