2598814 - hdblcm: SID rename fails: Value 'rename_system' is invalid

Symptom

When you execute hdblcm tool to rename the SID of your HANA system with the following commands:

  • hdblcm --action=rename_system --source_sid=<old_SID> --target_sid=<new_SID>
  • hdblcm --action=rename_system --target_sid=<new_SID>

It fails with the following error:

Value 'rename_system' is invalid. Please use one of: add_hosts, register_rename_system
