Symptom

  • You are trying to design a new theme with the SAP UI Theme Designer on ABAP. On doing a preview of any application, "The preview application could not be loaded" error pops up. preview_UI5.png

  • In the network traces, 403 errors are logged for calls to files under http://<host>:<port>/sap/public/bc/themes
