2599293 - LDAP user fails to connect to server from PD Web - SAP PD

Symptom

  • LDAP user is unable to connect to the Repository from PD Web.
  • Enter the LDAP user name to test the connection. Clicking Test returns: "Failed to connect to server".
  • File cmrserver.log reports:

ERROR http-nio-3040-exec-5 com.sap.powerdesigner.server.util.LDAPUtils.validateLDAPConnection(LDAPUtils.java:109) LDAP Login authentication failed for <User_name>.
javax.naming.AuthenticationException: [LDAP: error code 49 - 80090308: LdapErr: DSID-0C09042F, comment: AcceptSecurityContext error, data 52e, v2580

ERROR http-nio-3040-exec-5
com.sap.powerdesigner.server.util.LDAPUtils.retryLDAPLogin(LDAPUtils.java:138) Failed with guessed domains.

  • Connection from LDAP Server Test - V10 works fine with the same connection parameters.
  • It behaves the same with either Active Directory or OpenLDAP.
