OR

Cause
- The goal plan was modified via Manage Templates to delete a field but the field is still present in the Goal Plan XML
- The Goal Plan is not available in the system anymore
- Role-based Permissions (RBP) are not granted to the user to view the Goal Plan
- The user doesn't have an active manager
Resolution
Goal Plan Field Was Deleted
You can do either of the following:
- Add the field back into the Goal Plan
- Have your partner or Professional Services remove the field from the Goal Plan XML in Provisioning. If you don't have a partner, you can locate one using 2149831 - SAP Professional Services / SAP Certified Partner / SAP Account Management Team [SuccessFactors Cloud].
The Goal Plan is Not in the System Anymore
You can change the Default Goal Plan:
- Action Search: Manage Templates
- Goal Plan tab > Change the default template to another one > OK
- Return the default to the original template > OK
- User should be able to access the Goal Plan successfully
Review RBP Permissions
The affected user has lost RBP permission to the previously preferred template(the last accessed goal plan).
Please switch the default goal template to a goal plan user has access in 'Manage Templates' tool, which will reset the preferred template to default goal plan.
Then let the user access again from 'Goals/Objectives' in module tab. System will open default goal plan page.
Review the RBP permissions from KB 2072206 - How to restrict Goal Plan Access - Goal Management
Check user's manager
Go to the affected user's employee profile or go to reporting to confirm the user's manager is active or not.
If the user's manager is inactive, please change the manager to an active user and log in again to confirm.
