2601050 - Commvault backup fail and in Event Viewer sqlsrvr.exe shows as crashed - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • While running a backup through Commvault
  • In the Windows Event Viewer, errors below are reported
  • And the backup may fail
  • No errors are reported in the Backup Server log or the ASE error log
  • Connecting through isql, a backup to disk works without any error.

Windows closed the program sqlsrvr.exe because of this error.
