The items in the Sales Quote are not in the same order as in the project tasks.
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
Go to the New Business work center.
Use the Common Task view.
Select the New Sales Quote subview.
Choose a valid Sales Unit.
Choose Create with Reference.
Reference Type: Project.
Choose the Reference ID.
Create method: By Top Level Elements and Services.
Now you see that the order of Sale Quote items is the opposite of the order within the project tasks.
- We do not guarantee the ordering of the line items to match that of the project.
- While looking at the documentation, the tables do indeed appear to be in the same order but you notice this behaviour is not described in the test anywhere.
- The main consideration from a system performance point of view, is that all project tasks are copied to the sales quote and added as items. There is no particular order on the items.
This is the expected behaviour.
