2601680 - The Value Added Tax Is Not Translated To The Required Language In The Documents

Symptom

You have translated the pricing elements to the required language in the Business Configuration, however, the Value Added Tax on the document (Sales Orders, Customer Invoice) is not getting translated as expected.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Go to the Overview view.
  3. Search for the Configure Price Strategy activity.
  4. Open the activity and select Configure Pricing Procedure.
  5. Select the Tax component and choose Translate button.
  6. Maintain the language preferred for the translation.
  7. Save your changes.
  8. Now Go to the Sales Orders work center.
  9. Create a New Sales Orders from Common Tasks.
  10. Add the mandatory details and product in the sales order.
  11. Save the sales order.
  12. Select the Preview button.

The Value Added Tax description is shown in English.

Cause

Translation of Value Added Tax to the required language, cannot be supported till SAP Business ByDesign releases a localization version.

Resolution

You can contact your partner to create a customized form where the Value Added Tax can be translated to the required language using scripts.
