2602711 - Afaria iOS Enrollment fails with 'Profile Installation Failed', and 'TokenCheckin 401' in device log

Symptom

iOS enrollment fails with "Profile Installation Failed" error on the device, and the following errors are visible in Enrollment RSOE log (verbosity 5) and iOS device log respectively:

  • Error message 401.3 you do not have permissions to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied (access denied due to Access Control lists) Ask the web server's administrator to give you access to '<Installation_Directory>\AIPS\aips\aipService.svc'
    AND
  • Connection to https://<AFARIA_SERVER>/ias_relay_server/client/rs_client.dll/<RS_FARM>/aips2/aipService.svc/TokenCheckin failed with error: NSError: A connection to the server could not be established.
