2602885 - IQ 16.0 could use more memory than configured on AIX - SAP IQ 

Symptom



SAP IQ 16.0 on AIX could use more memory than configured in the .CFG file.


For example on a host with 32 Gb of RAM:


    

  • IQ is configured with the following memory caches. The sum of all those caches is 10 Gb. So the max memory usage would be 10 Gb for IQ.
    • 



-c 1024
-ch 3072
-iqtc 2000
-iqmc 2000
-iqlm 2000


    

  • The Unix TOP command could display a memory usage of 24 Gb for IQ, ie greater than configured.
