Symptom
Ad-hoc reporting is not respecting the Field Based Permissions which are defined within a Compensation Plan.

Reproducing the Issue
1.Enable Field Based Permissions for a given Compensation Plan. This is done via plan set up > settings.
2.Next go to Analytics > Ad-hoc Reporting and create a new report on the compensation planning domain
3.You will find columns do NOT respect field based permissions which are defined within Design worksheet. Below is an example where a manager cannot see a field within a worksheet but can select this under columns.

Configuring Field Based Permissions for a Compensation Plan only affects the Compensation environment. Currenlty Ad-hoc framework does not support Field Based Permissions. This means in the worksheet(s), any field that a user does not have permission to view will not show, while in Ad-hoc reporting they will. For more information on Field Based Permissions see:
