2604183 - Auto-Save on Performance Forms Does not Save Created / Updated Goal Data - Performance Management

Symptom

Inserted Goal information is not saved during Auto-Save of the Performance Form.

A Session Time-out causes Goal Data loss.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. In the PM form, click on the Edit button or the Add Goal / Add Objective button.
  2. Enter information in the fields of the Add/Edit Goal window.
  3. The session times out without saving the Goal information.
  4. After logging back into the session the entered goal information is gone.

Cause

  • When clicking on the Edit or Add Goal / Add Objective button, a pop-up opens.
  • This pop-up comes from the Goal Management module and iss not part of the Performance form.
  • Hence the Auto-Save functionality of the Performance form does not apply to this Pop-up window.
  • If the session times out before bringing the information to the Performance form, then this information is lost.

Resolution

  • Goal Data is synchronized with the Performance form upon saving the Goal (clicking the save button in the Goal pop-up).
  • Once this has happened the Auto-Save of the Performance Form can save the information to the goal section of the form.
  • For additional information on how the Auto-save feature works, please see the Performance Management Admin Guide: Form Autosave
