Symptom

  • On a clustered environment system,
  • ASE errorlog reports "Infected with signal 11" errors on various function calls like ptn_nextcopy(), lock_timeout_fdp(), ubffreef() with stack traces.
  • ASE server may hang after these signal 11s.
  • Stack traces for these signal 11s show the following function calls:

    • Signal 11 on ptn_nextcopy()
