2605164 - Intrastat Declaration with Type Arrival Inconsistent

Symptom

You are trying to release an Intrastat Declaration with type Arrival but you can see that one or more items are inconsistent.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign all versions.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Intrastat work center.
  2. Select Intrastat Declarations view.
  3. Search for Intrastat Declaration XXX (XXX represents the relevant Intrastat Declaration ID).
  4. Click on Edit.
  5. Go to Items tab.

You can see that there are inconsistent Items and therefore you cannot release the Intrastat Declaration.

Cause

A possible reason for the inconsistency could be the missing value for the field Region of Destination.

You can ensure that this is the reason by performing the following steps:

  1. Go to Intrastat work center.
  2. Select Intrastat Declarations view.
  3. Search for Intrastat Declaration XXX (XXX represents the relevant Intrastat Declaration ID).
  4. Click on Edit.
  5. Go to Items tab.
  6. Highlight an affected item.
  7. Go to the Basic Data tab.
  8. Check if there is any value maintained in the Region of Destination field.

If there is no value maintained in this field then this is the reason for the inconsistency. The Region of Destination data should be pulled automatically by the system when creating an Invoice Declaration. However, if the state has not been maintained in the address of the relevant Ship-To/Service Location then the Region of Destination field does not get populated automatically in the Intrastat Declaration.

Resolution

In the Master Data of the relevant Ship-To/Service Location you have to add the respective state to the address data.

  1. Go to Supply Chain Design Master Data work center.
  2. Select the Locations view.
  3. Select Active Sites.
  4. Find and then highlight the relevant Site.
  5. In the Details tab, Office Address sub tab, you can see that the State has not been maintained.
  6. Click Edit.
  7. Under Location Address click on Additional Fields.
  8. Enter the respective State.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Click Save.

Please note that this will only affect future Intrastat Declarations but will not correct the inconsistent items in existing Intrastat Declarations.

In existing Intrastat Declarations, you need to add the Region of Destination manually to each inconsistent item.

  8. Click on the arrow in the Region of Destination field
  9. Select the respective state.
  10. Click Save.

Once you have added the Region of Destination value for all inconsistent items you will be able to release the Intrastat Declaration.
