2606682 - Job fails with Bad System message when using Vertica DB Datastore - Data Services

Symptom

  • A datastore configured to use HPE Vertica 7.1x configuration can import tables and view data. 
  • When imported table is used in a job design, the execution will fail on the source table with following error:
    Error "Data flow received a bad system message. Message text from the child process is <>"
  • Database Administrators confirm there is a session opened on the database from the Job Server, but no activity is seen. 
  • Database Client on the Job Server is version 8.1, but the Client machine has version 7.x.x
