Symptom
- While performing an upgrade using the Software Upgrade Manager (SUM), you encounter an error during the phase PREP_INPUT/DBQUERY_PRE
Below is an example of what you might find in the SAPupConsole.log file:

- You have referred to KBA 2504627 - ERROR: Password for 'SYSTEM' does not work in the phase PREP_INPUT/DBQUERY_PRE but this did not solve the issue.
You notice that the environment variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH is not included in the CHKSYSPWD.SAV file.
Below is an example of what you might find in the CHKSYSPWD.SAV file:
