Symptom

SAP Sybase Repserver is not picking up errors when executing ASE (SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise) sp_password call as part of hide_maintuser_pwd functionality.
Example of related ASE errors extected to be caught by Rep server:

  • 17720: Procedure 'sp_password', Line 128: Error:  Unable to set the Password
  • 10315: Invalid caller's password specified, password left unchanged.
