2608099 - The New Button is Disabled in the Sales Orders tab of a Sales Contract

The New button is grayed out in the Sales Orders facet of a Sales Contract.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to the Contracts work center.
2. Open any Contract of type Sales Contract.
3. Go to the Sales Orders tab.
4. The New button is disabled.

For the new button to be active, you have to select the Scoping question "Do you want to replicate contracts between your cloud solution and external application?" and then also check the External Data checkbox in the Sales Contract Activity in Business Configuration.

Prerequisite for an active New button on the Sales Orders facet in the Contract TI is that contract replication is switched on.

Therefore, only Contracts with document type External Data allow creating a follow-up sales order.

Please note: an active, fully set-up integration scenario is necessary for the functionality to work correctly.

To find the Scoping question:

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Open the select Implementation Project. 
3. Edit Project Scope.
4. Navigate to step 3, Scoping.
5. Navigate to step 4, Questions.
6. Expand: 'Communication and Information Exchange' -> 'Integration with External Applications and Solutions' -> 'Integration into Sales, Service, and Marketing Processes': under 'Contracts', scope and review the question: "Do you want to replicate contracts between your cloud solution and external application?".
7. Review and confirm your scoping selections to activate. 

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Open the Activity List.
3. Select Sales Contract -> Maintain Document Types.
4. For Document Types Sales Contract, please activate External Data and save.
5. Now if you create a new contract for the Document Type Sales Contract you will be able to transfer/replicate the contract to ECC.
6. After replication of the contract to ECC (Transfer Status of the Contract must be Finished), you will be able to create a new sales order.
