2608496 - 2601 duplicate key violation reported on update to replicate database - SRS

Symptom

  • Replication from SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) using SAP Replication Server (SRS)
  • Primary database has compressed APL table that has a primary key constraint
  • In some circumstances, an update that is applied successfully on the primary database table fails to update the replicate database table with 2601 error:

       ERROR #1028 DSI EXEC(142(1) DS.DB) - neric/dsi/dsiqmint.c(5095)
       Message from server: Message: 2601, State 2, Severity 16 -- 'Attempt to insert duplicate key row in object 'table name' with unique index 'index name''.
