2609001 - Why does SAP HANA Cloud Connector work only in one direction?

Symptom

You notice that SAP HANA Cloud Connector only works in one direction (Cloud -> HCI -> SCC -> OnPremise) and you would like to know:

Why this behavior?
Is this the expected behavior?
Where do I find the instructions of how to proceed with it?

Environment

SAP Cloud Platform Connectivity

Resolution

The SAP HANA Cloud Connector (SCC) is intended to access to the OnPremise system from the outside. So it is exactly designed for one direction.

For SAP integration scenarios, the SCC should only be used for the direction Cloud -> CPI -> SCC -> OnPremise.

SCC is not needed for the direction OnPremise -> CPI -> OnDemand.
