Symptom

  • Table names and codes are cut off after 30 characters during the reverse engineering of a Teradata database.
  • Table codes are truncated to 30 characters when creating new objects although their names are much longer.
  • This applies to all Teradata objects which maxmimum length name is 128 Unicode characters (Table, Column, Constraint, Index, Key, View, Database, Abstract Data Type, Procedure, Function, Trigger, Domain, User, Error Table, etc.).
