2609620 - SQL Anywhere 17 client error with Entity Framework

Symptom

  • Visual Studio is giving an error on creation of new connection:
    "An unexpected error occurred in the .NET Framework Data Provider for SQL Anywhere 17. Please contact the provider vendor to resolve this problem."
  • The following error is shown in activitylog.xml:
    "... System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Sap.VSIntegration.SQLAnywhere, ...".
  • Installation of SQL Anywhere Package for Visual Studio was successful.
  • You are using Client installer or installer created using Deployment Wizard.
