2610692 - Private Goals Are Visible to the Employee Role Despite no private-access Permission Granted - Goal Management

Symptom

In the Goal Plan XML template, permissions are defined to restrict visibility of private goals to the Employee role (E), yet the Employee is still able to view private goals in his/her goal plan.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Career Development Planning
  • SAP SuccessFactors Goal Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1.   Define XML Permissions so that only Managers up the hierarchy are able to view private goals:

     2. As the Manager, create a private goal for the employee.

The employee is able to view the private goal created by the Manager irrespective of the XML permissions.

Resolution

The Employee role (E) will always have the permission to view all the goals in their goal plan.
