Symptom

  • Brand pages in CSB have a unique URL, formatted like this:

jobs.[name of company].com/[name of specific subsidiary or department] (e.g. https://jobs.customer.com/brandSpecific).

  • By configuring brands via the Brand Management in Career Site Builder, different brands can be added to a site.
  • Deleting a brand can also be done in Career Site Builder by the customer or implementation partner.

Guidelines for Brand creation:
The recommended characters to use are : letters in lower case (a-z) , letters in uppercase (A-Z) , numbers (0-9) hyphen (-) and underscore (_)

WARNING:
Most special characters will not work
Spaces are not supported
Also note that as a best practice, using ALL CAPS should be avoided as consecutive capital letters could interfere with category and job delivery rules by triggering unwanted operators such as "AND" "OR" "NOT".

Deleting Brands

In order to delete a brand use the following steps:

  1. Click on the trash icon and confirm the change
  2. Press the Save button

brand_remove.jpg
Pages or jobs that previously used the deleted brand would instead render using the site's default brand.
However, by recreating the brand with the same name and id, pages and jobs will retrieve the previous setting.
The default brand cannot be deleted and doesn't manage Microsite ID.

NOTE: The microsite ID is to allow the career site to have a separate theme to each brand. If you don't wish to have a separate theme for each brand, them a microsite ID linked to the brand is optional.
