Symptom

  • What happens when a user clicks on an LMS link within a Jam group, in SAP Jam mobile app?

  • Flow of opening a LMS item link in SAP Jam app

Environment

  • SAP Jam
  • SAP Jam mobile app
  • SF Mobile app

Resolution

  • When a SAP Jam mobile app user tap on the LMS object link, he/she will be presented with a mobile page asking if they would like to view the item "...in the App" or "in Browser".
  • If the user tap on "View in the App", and SF mobile app is installed and correctly configured, the LMS content will open in the SF mobile app.
  • If the SF mobile app is not installed, the user will be redirected to the App Store to the page for the SF mobile app.
  • If the user tap on "View in Browser", the default OS browser will open to SF LMS screen for the content in question.

Note: To experience a seamless workflow, the mobile device needs to be configured with SSO, otherwise users will need to enter their credentials.
