2613383 - Warning: 'The certificate is not valid and cannot be used to verify the identity of this website' on launching Webi Java applet

Symptom

  • After configuring SSL / HTTPS for Tomcat, the Security Warning will display every time while creating the new Web Intelligence (Webi) document in Java mode from BI Launch Pad:
    The Security Warning message is "The certificate is not valid and cannot be used to verify the identity of this website"

  • Turning on Java Console + Logging / Tracing (Control Panel -> Java -> Advanced -> Enable tracing + Enable logging -> Java Console -> Show Console) reveals the following error when the Java applet is launched:
    certificate does not specify ocsp responder
