2613979 - ESH Connector Creation. Cannot use duplicate view name: HANA Error code: 2003

Symptom

  • You execute Task List SAP_ESH_INITIAL_SETUP_WRK_CLIENT in a working client of a system to setup Enterprise Search (ESH).
  • You run into errors of the type...

    • Database view ESH:<SID><Client>~<SID><Client>~ESH_SEARCHTERM_PERS~~DEFAULT could not be created

    • HANA call terminated with HANA engine error. Error code: 2003

    • Error message: cannot use duplicate view name: ESH:<SID><Client>~<SID><Client>~ESH_SEARCHTERM_PERS~~DEFAULT: line 1 col 20 (at pos 19)

    • NOTE: The object type above is a common example but this issue may occur for others - depending on the Software Component being imported at the time.
