2614402 - Configuring the Performance History Portlet in Performance Management

Symptom

How to configure the Performance History portlet in a live profile to show ratings from specific Performance templates in PMGM

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management

Resolution

One of the Scorecard portlets is the Performance History portlets. This portlet will display the link to the forms, due date and the following rating types:

  • Overall Performance
  • Overall Potential
  • Overall Competency
  • Overall Goal

The data to be displayed in the Performance History portlet will be filtered according to what was configured in the Scorecard Process and Date Range

Data Model Configuration

  • The portlet has to be configured first in an instance's data model
  • If you do not see the Performance History portlet as an available portlet or block in Configure Employee Files or Configure People Profile respectively, please contact your Implementation Partner to request the portlet be configured in your data model
  • Below xml code for background element Performance History will be added in the data model

<background-element id="sysScoreCardPerfHistoryPortlet" type-id="31">
<label>Performance History Portlet</label>
</background-element>

Processes and Forms Setting

  1. Go to Admin Center > Reporting and Analytics > Processes and Forms
  2. Create or edit an existing process and select the form templates to show in the portlet
  3. In the section Rating Scale Settings (Required), select the Rating Scale to use in the portlet

Configure People Profile Setting

  1. Go to Admin Center > Configure People Profile > General Settings
  2. On the right panel, go to Talent Data Settings
  3. Set the date range

Note: This range will only show forms that have an End Date within that period. It will not show forms that have an End Date equal to the later date endpoint

  1. Set the process for which data will be included
  2. Check the Include in-progress forms box to show in progress forms
  3. Click Save at the bottom

If using Employee Profile V12, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to Admin Center > Configure Employee Files
  2. Scroll down to the section Rating Sources for Scorecards
  3. Set the date range and select the process
  4. Check the Include in-progress forms box to show in progress forms
  5. Click Save

Note: Portlet type Performance History, which retrieves information from other parts of the system, was designed to have just the predefined fields, therefore it is not possible to hide or add fields.

Performance History Portlet for inactive Employees

  • If a user is set to inactive without the removal of their in progress or completed forms, their Performance History Portlet will still show up empty. Once the user is rehired, the data will populate again.
  • Or, you can enable Person-Based Performance History Block to display inactive user's performance history record. Procedure: Company System and Logo Settings > Enable Person-Based Performance History Block.
  • Inactive employees' data will not be updated by imports.
