2615455 - Job Information: Rule and Propagation on Import switches now migrated to Role-Based Permissions from Company System and Logo Settings (1802)

The Rule and Propagation on Import switches previously maintained in Company System and Logo Settings have now been migrated to Role-Based Permissions. This provides more granular permissions to these import features switches, where prior to 1802 they would apply to all users with Import permissions, now they can be permissioned on the Permission Role level, rather than a "global" level.

Admins can now assign permissions to different user groups at the role level to trigger business rules (onSave and onChange), to forward propagate data through Incremental inserts, and to execute rules and propagations against &&NO_OVERWRITE&& imports (Partial Imports)

Where do I manage these new permissions?

• From "Manage Permission Roles > Permission > [Permission Role] > Permission settings > Administrative Permissions > Employee Central Import Settings" when importing Job History data.( See Emploee Central Import Here)

• Previously, you had to enable these permissions at the company level on the “Company System and Logo Settings” page.

Special Note:

Please note that there was a migration for customers who had enabled some or all of the below flags in their instance (formerly in Company System & Logo Settings). If any or all of these 3 flags were enabled in the instance, then all Permission Roles which had permission to Import Employee Central data, were automatically granted with the corresponding permissions (for example if only 1 of the below options was enabled in Company System & Logo Settings, then all Permission Roles with permission granted to import EC data, would be granted with that one permission) -:

• Enable Business Rules for selected areas: Job Information
• Enable execution of rules and propagations against NO_OVERWRITE: Job Information
• Enable Forward Propagation during Incremental Import: Job Information

Please Note:

Raise Messages will not trigger against imports as they only trigger in the UI.
