2615664 - SQL() produces out of range INT value - Data Services

Symptom

  • Customer has created an Oracle sequence and uses a custom SQL() function to gather the next sequence.
  • During run time the job fails with the following error: 
    Error "An integer's range is <-2147483648> to <2147483647>. You are attempting to store value <4100000000>, outside of this range. To successfully store it, you must change the field's data type."
  • Changing data type that holds the SQL() function result, fails with the following error.
    Error " <OCIStmtExecute>: <ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into  <Number column>"
  • The value in question appears to be within the specified range.
