2615691 - Program Type can't be changed when editing nor copying

• When making changes to a program, its Type cannot be changed;
• When copying a program, the Type field cannot be changed.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Log into HCM > navigate to Learning Administration > Learning Activities > Programs >
2. Search for the required entity and open it >
3. Click on 'Copy' or at the Setting tile, click on the edit button >
4. Notice that the Type cannot be changed.

Program type is set when the entity is created and cannot be changed when editing it nor when copying it, because many rules within the system rely on the type of a program. For this reason, changes are not allowed to the Program type after the entity has been created.

If it is required to duplicate a program with a different program type, this will require the creation of a new program.

To suggest a different system behavior, it would be possible to have an enhancement request created for it (as per KBA 2090228), where the Learning Product Management team can further review and assess the requested functionality to be considered in a future release.
