2615789 - Unable to Rate Skill

Symptom

Employee or their manager cannot rate their Skills due to a "Cannot rate this skill" error.

SAP SuccessFactors Job Profile Builder

Reproducing the Issue

Go to People Profile > Skill Profile portlet > Click on the "Pencil" icon to Edit:

See a message "Cannot rate this skill" display.

Cause

Objects' association is not properly set.

Resolution

Ojects' association should be as follows:

  1. Skill must be mapped to employee's Role;
  2. Role must have employee's Job Code associated to it;
  3. Job Code must be mapped to employee's Job Profile.

Please note that employee will be able to add any Skills to their profile.

However, employee and their manager will only be allowed to rate the Skills that are associated to their Job Profile.
