Prerequisites for Using Data Protection and Privacy Functions

• Migrate to role-based permissions (RBP). Please note that this process takes time, so if you haven't done it yet we strongly recommend that you start as soon as possible. More information and details can be found in the Setting Up and Using Data Protection and Privacy Guide starting on page 265.
• Activate the Metadata Framework (MDF). To do this, just go to the Upgrade Center and switch on the ExtensionCenter. This activates MDF automatically. More information can be found in the Setting Up and Using Data Protection and Privacy Guide starting on page 325.
• If you use Position Management in Employee Central, update to the Right to Return Data Model.
• To migrate, go to the Upgrade Center and from the Optional Upgrade section, select Position Management - Migrate Data Model for Right to Return

Frequently Asked Questions

Read Access Log:

Q) Why does the Manage Audit Configuration page show that Read Audit Log is enabled, but there is also a message stating that "This feature is currently disabled. Read Auditing will be available soon." Is Read Audit Log available during the Preview release or not?
A) This feature is currently not enabled in the Preview Release cycle. When the Q2 2018 Release is deployed in Production, you can re-visit the Manage Audit Configuration page and the Read Audit Log feature will be disabled and the "feature disabled" message will no longer be there. Then you will be able to enable the Read Audit Log feature on the instance (in either a Preview or Production instance)
